Discover Florence with your family and treat yourself to a “sweet” experience

Florence for kids: perfect tour for families and children and to give yourself some leisure and fun while visiting Florence’s historic sites and highlights.

On this family friendly tour I will accompany you and your family to visit Florence on foot: you will admire the most famous places and buildings in Florence, you will discover the history of the Medici and other rich Florentine families and you will hear curious anecdotes and interesting legends.

The tour will also involve the little ones who will be busy solving riddles and discovering hidden symbols throughout the city. In addition, this walking tour in Florence also includes a visit to Leonardo da Vinci Interactive Museum where you can have fun touching Leonardo da Vinci’s machines and understanding how they work.

At the end of the guided tour with me, you can decide whether to give you and your family another special experience and choose between different workshops that the city offers. You can learn with your children on how to make authentic Italian gelato at an old artisan gelato parlor or even participate in the marbled paper workshop, to learn an ancient paper decoration technique.

Walking City Tour with Kids

Walking City Tour with Kids

On this tour, you and your family will admire the most important squares and buildings of Florence, including the imposing Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the splendid Piazza della Signoria with its monuments, Ponte Vecchio with its goldsmith shops, and much more. I will guide you through the streets of Florence, telling you interesting anecdotes and curious legends that will fascinate and engage even the little ones, and together we will observe the city from a different point of view: that of the children.
Leonardo da Vinci Museum

Leonardo da Vinci Museum

After visiting the historic center on foot and discovering the most significant places in Florence, we will continue our experience at Leonardo da Vinci Museum, an interactive museum dedicated to some of Leonardo's most famous inventions, reproduced here faithfully and in full scale. Children will be able to touch them to discover how they work and learn something while having fun and playing, while the adults have the opportunity to understand more deeply the story and mind of what is known to be the “Renaissance genius”.
Gelato Workshop

Gelato Workshop

At the end of the guided tour with me, you can decide whether to participate in a gelato workshop. I will guide you towards a historic gelato parlor where your children (and you too, if you want, because one is never too old for gelato!) will equip themselves with a chef's hat and apron to learn the ancient techniques of gelato making, guided by an expert gelato master. What better place than Florence to learn how to make gelato?! Legend tells us that it was born right here and that there is a particular flavor that owes its origins to an important Florentine man of the 1500s, but I don't want to reveal too much!
Marbled Paper Laboratory

Marbled Paper Laboratory

We will visit together an artisan bookbinder in Florence specialized in paper binding and decoration, where you will discover all the secrets of bookbinding techniques and paper marbling. If you want you can stay in the shop and experience firsthand what you have learned by making a handmade marbled paper yourself! A fun and educational activity, especially for children, who will be able to take home with them a colorful memory of Florence, the result of what they learned during the workshop.
