Florence City Tour

Our private tour will begin with a guided walk through the main squares of Florence, to delve deeper into its history, its most significant buildings, and the families that shaped its legacy, including the Medici family. Historic houses, Gothic churches, and Renaissance sculptures enrich all the squares of the historic center of Florence, making it look like an open-air museum. We will cross the scenic Piazza della Signoria, dominated by the majestic Palazzo Vecchio and populated by incredible Renaissance statues; we will walk across Ponte Vecchio, the oldest bridge in the city that has survived countless vicissitudes, and we will admire the grandeur and magnificence of Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral (the Duomo), the heart and symbol of Florence.

Palazzo Pitti and Palatina Gallery

We will continue our tour by visiting the Palatina Gallery in Pitti Palace, the magnificent Renaissance palace that hosted the three reigning dynasties of Florence: the Medici, Lorraine, and Savoy families. This palace stands as a grand testament to their power and wealth. Despite its sober and austere exterior, the interior is filled with treasures waiting to be discovered: sumptuous frescoed halls, precious furnishings, and gilded stuccos. Above all, you will find a vast collection of masterpieces from the 15th to the 18th century, created by legendary painters such as Raphael, Caravaggio, and Titian. This is a true journey through art, where you can relive the glamorous court life of the past and learn about a defining chapter of Florence's history.

Boboli Gardens

Many people don’t know that behind Pitti Palace lies a vast Renaissance garden, commissioned by the Medici family as a private retreat to relax and enjoy nature. It is a perfect example of an Italian-style garden, characterized by a geometric layout of hedges, trees, and groves that inspired centuries of landscape architecture. The garden is enriched with caves, fountains, and statues from different eras, each hiding engaging stories and curious anecdotes that make Boboli Gardens a truly atmospheric and fascinating place.

The Boboli garden is open every day from 08.15 to 16.30 from November to February; from 08.15 to 17.30 in March and October; from 08.15 to 18.30 from April to September.
Closed on the 1st and last Monday of the month; January the 1st; December 25th.

The best times to visit Florence is Spring, from March to May, and beginning of fall, September and October. They correspond to the months in which the tourist season is about to begin or end so the city is not yet as chaotic and full of visitors as it turns out to be in summer time.
If you want to avoid crowds even more, the ideal period for you is winter (except from Christmas weeks in which the city comes to life again thanks to visitors from other Italian cities) despite the fact that the temperatures are much colder.
