If you are interested in some alternative food and wine experiences to do at the end of a guided tour in Chianti, few km from San Gimignano there is one of the oldest estates in Italy, still belonging to a historic Florentine family, which organizes truffle hunting experiences in the countryside.
You can play the role of an explorer for a day and venture together with an expert truffle hunter and his truffle dog through the woods of the Tuscan countryside looking for this rare mushroom with an unforgettable taste.
The truffle hunter will tell you everything there is to know about this delicious product, giving you information on where truffles grow and when it’s truffle season in Italy. He will reveal you some secrets on how to recognize authentic high-quality truffles and the differences between white and black truffle. Then he will guide you through the woods in this exciting hunting experience.
